Golf course: technical data
This course was inaugurated in 1977 with 9 holes and currently has 18 high-quality competition holes redesigned by renowned golf architect Dave Thomas (creator of many of the prestigious courses such as Brabazon, where the Ryder Cup is held).
The maximum distance from the men's competition white tees is 5169 m, from the men's yellow tees 4872 m. The women have a championship distance from the blue tees of 4652 m. and on normal days from the red marks of 4320 m. The Par of the course is 69 and consists of 6 PAR 3s, 9 par 4s and 3 PAR 5s.
It consists of many strategically planned obstacles and bunkers that provide a very technical course characterized by undulating greens that offer a challenge to both the expert and beginner player.
In addition, it has a Driving Range 190 meters long and 83 meters wide with 18 bases: 14 covered and 4 uncovered, night lighting, a putting green and chipping green area, all visible from the terrace of the Bar-Restaurant.
